| - This is the highest performing board range and the highest technology board on the market today.
- This board is designed to appeal to the better level or more aggressive rider.
- The core is mainly made from a combination of wood and honeycomb (but includes carbon, Kevlar, rubber and Airex). Overall flex is similar to the 555 range BUT the wood and honeycomb respond after flexing much faster than Airex. The benefits of this are
· More lively feeling board (reduced vibration)
· Better upwind and early planning
· Increased pop in take offs
· Same soft feeling in hard landings.
To really see the honeycomb in the window you need to hold the board upto the light. The window then becomes transparent and the honeycomb is stunning!
- The top mould on this board has been tuned to add more stiffness into the centre of the tail. A stiffer tail increases pop but decreases control. Due to this we have added extreme flex tips in the fin area. The benefits being extra pop when you put the board flat to take of due to the stiffer centre section but when the board is on the rail and you are edging hard the fin area is flexing thus improving control.
- Most riders can take a larger size board in this range. This gives better planning, better pop and easier landings without any compromise in control.
- The fin profilers are only supplied with this 666-board range. The outline and rocker of the board have been optimized for performance. In rougher water and extreme wind conditions control can become harder and control is more important than 100% performance. Placing the fin profilers under the fins on the heel side edge increase the tail rocker in the board by around 5mm. This dramatically increases control and reduces spray in the riders face. In easier conditions take them out again and you have 100% performance again.
